Diploma Program in Disability Management


The Diploma Program in Disability Management is no longer accepting new students. This webpage will remain until all Diploma students have completed the Diploma, for the main purpose of informing students of upcoming course offerings, additional materials required and graduation information.

The purpose of this section is to inform students of the additional materials they will need for each course.  Supplemental materials include course textbooks and articles sent out by mail by the DDM Office. If your employer is to be billed for textbooks, you must supply a copy of the Third Party Billing Form to the Bookstore.

Graduation Information                

Dalhousie convocations take place in May and October each year.  In order to graduate, you must submit an "Intention  to Graduate"  form by the specified  deadline. You can download a copy of this form from the web and print it out. It should be returned by fax or mail to the Dalhousie Registrar's Office (Office of the Registrar, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3H 4H6, fax (902) 494-1630, Attn: Judy Douglas). If you prefer, the DDM Office can fax you a copy of the form.

On this form, fill in "DDM" for the program and  "DISM" for the major.  Be sure to indicate whether or not you will be attending the convocation ceremony. If you are attending, you should receive a convocation guide by mail (about 4-6 weeks prior to the ceremony) containing important information and your invitations. If you do not plan to attend, your parchment will be mailout to the address you provide on this form, approximately 2-3 weeks following convocation. Please make sure the Registrar's Office has your current address. If not, please submit a Change of Address form well in advance of the convocation date or contact Judy Douglas at the Registrar's Office (902)494-2045/ judy.douglas@dal.ca. You can download the Change of Address form from the Registrar's website at: http://www.registrar.dal.ca, under Online Services, and under Download Forms in PDF.
